a Brigadier in the Bophuthatswana Police was shot and killed by MK operatives at Mabopane, Bophuthatswana, during August 1986. Amnesty applicants testified that Mr Malope was allegedly targeted because he was implicated in numerous cases of assault and torture of political detainees. Four MK members were granted amnesty (AC/1998/0048).
