Was killed and set alight at his home in Diepkloof, Soweto, Johannesburg, on 21 April 1993, by a crowd of residents, ANC and ANCYL members. The attack had been directed against his father who was accused of giving information to the police. His father was also killed and set alight and three other family members were assaulted. Six ANCYL members were granted amnesty (AC/2001/127).
