Description
Was shot in Vosloorus, Transvaal, on 1 June 1990 during an attack on her home in which a hand grenade was thrown into the house and unidentified gunmen opened fire on the occupants. Ms Maziya died of her injuries five days later. Ms Maziya`s son, a member of the ANC and the SANCO executive, was also injured in the attack. Ms Maziya`s daughter-in-law and her infant grandson were also killed in the attack.
