Was beaten and shot dead in KwaNdengezi, KwaZulu, near Pinetown, Natal, on 9 February 1986, when members of the SAP accosted him and his friends in the street. The youths were allegedly ordered to run and the police opened fire. Three named policemen were convicted of the killing.
