An ANC supporter who was shot dead by members of the SAP in a raid on Ethafeni Hostel, Tembisa, Transvaal, on 1 September 1990. Mr Mngungu heard shots being fired at the hostel. He went outside to investigate and was subsequently shot. Tembisa was one of several Transvaal townships embroiled in conflict between IFP and ANC supporters.
