An ANC supporter who was detained, beaten, tortured and held in solitary confinement for three months in July 1983 and during 1984 in Mdantsane, Ciskei. In February 1987, members of the Ciskei Police drove him and his family to open veld beyond the Kei River and left them there because they claimed that he was a Transkeian. When he returned to his home, he was arrested and tortured by suffocation by members before being released on the following day.
