Was shot and injured by IFP supporters in Swanieville, Krugersdorp, Tvl, on 12 May 1991. IFP-supporting hostel inmates were retaliating against a previous attack by ANC-supporting squatters and approximately one hundred and fifteen shacks were set alight, twenty seven people were killed and twenty five vehicles were burnt.
