The regional organiser for SASO, and a member of the BCM and the BPC, who allegedly hanged himself in King William`s Town, Cape in 1976. In 1974, after constant police harassment, Mr Mohapi was detained under section 6 of the Terrorism Act at Pretoria Central prison. In detention he was tortured and assaulted in different ways. On his release in 1975 he was banished to King William`s Town for five years during which he was constantly harassed by the police. He was again detained in July 1976 when he died in police custody.
