A Uitenhage Youth Congress member who was shot dead by a named member of the SAP on 25 August 1987 in KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage, Cape. Reportedly, Mr Mpambani was on his way home from school when he was called over by SAP members in a car. He decided to run away and the perpetrators shot him in the back. While lying on the ground he was kicked, beaten, and finally shot again.
