An ANC supporter who was shot dead and burnt on 15 August 1990 when his home in the informal settlement, Crossroads, in Katlehong, Tvl, was attacked and set alight, allegedly by IFP supporters. Mr Mqikela was one of 24 people who died in a pre-dawn attack by hostel-dwellers on the Crossroads informal settlement on this day.
