A UDF supporter and President of the Middelburg Youth Congress who was detained, interrogated and tortured on several occasions from 1984 to 1986 by members of the Security Branch in Middelburg Cape. On 18 April 1986 he sustained severe burn wounds when his house was petrol-bombed.
