Description
Was killed outside his flat in Matsapa near Manzini, Swaziland when a car bomb planted by members of the Eastern Transvaal Security Branch exploded on 4 June 1982. He was the ANC deputy chief representative in Swaziland who operated under the surname ‘Nzima.’ His wife was killed and two bodyguards injured in the explosion, which was witnessed by the couple’s young children. Mr Nyawose was from Nottingham Road, near Pietermaritzburg. Two members of the Vlakplaas unit were granted amnesty for the reconnaissance phase of this operation. (AC/2001/279)
