Description
An ANC supporter who was shot dead on 31 July 1993 in Thafeni, Tembisa, Transvaal, during a raid on residents by alleged Toaster gang vigilantes and IFP supporters. Conflict increased when the body of the Toaster gang leader was exhumed and allegedly burnt by residents. Despite a peace pact signed between the IFP and ANC, IFP supporters allegedly attacked Tembisa and killed a total of thirty and injured twenty one people that day. See Toaster gang.
