The attack occurred during the mass occupation of land that took place in the 1991 and 1992 land campaign in the area. The victim was targeted because he supported the local headmen and chiefs’ position regarding the size of sites allocated. | References | SIWISA, Nkohla | | An ANC supporter who was detained by members of the SAP in Kirkwood, Cape, in October 1985. He and others were later sentenced to 18 years’ imprisonment for murder.
