Was shot in the abdomen and died two days later on 2 June 1992 in Dobsonville, Soweto, Johannesburg, allegedly by IFP supporters during conflict between mainly ANC-supporting residents and IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers. His wife was also injured in the attack.
