SHANGE, Bongani Jeffrey22An ANC supporter who was severely injured when he was mauled by a police dog in Umlazi, Durban, on 13 February 1992. Police came to his home, allegedly looking for weapons, after he had enquired about water facilities for squatters. He was detained for nine months, during which he was beaten and subjected to electric shock torture. His right arm is now partially paralysed. References
