Disappeared while in police custody in 1978 and has not been seen since. He is presumed dead. He had been arrested after visiting an uncle in Mozambique, and appeared in the Protea Magistrate’s Court in early 1978, the last time he was seen by his family. The police claimed that Mr Shiburi was released on 8 February 1978.
