An ANC supporter who had to flee his home in Germiston, Transvaal, on 4 December 1990 because his life was threatened. His home was then looted by IFP supporters who had allegedly been armed and instructed by members of the SAP. Mr Thamae was a street committee leader involved in a rent boycott in the area.
