An ANC supporter who was stabbed and beaten when his house in Bhambayi, near KwaMashu, Durban, was burnt down by IFP supporters on 10 June 1993 in ongoing political conflict between the ‘Red’ and ‘Green’ factions.

A number of other murders in the tax were blamed on the Mandela United Football Club. Sibuniso, son of Nomsa Tshabalala, disappeared around the same time as Lolo Sono. Jerry Richardson says he took part in Sibuniso’s murder which was ordered by Madikizela-Mandela.
