He is assumed to have been burnt to death by Vlakplaas operatives in Vlaklaagte, KwaNdebele, during July 1986. He and eight other youths were recruited by askaris for supposed military training. The activists were killed and the house they were staying in was set alight. Their bodies were burnt beyond recognition. See askaris.
