An MK operative who went into exile in 1972 and disappeared in 1980 after returning to South Africa. Mr Twala is thought to have been captured after a shoot-out with police in Aliwal North, Cape. His family heard that he had been arrested and ‘thrown down a cliff’ near the Umtata Central Prison.
