A UDF supporter who was shot and severely injured by a named member of the SAP in Mossel Bay, Cape, on 5 June 1986. He was shot near a toyi-toying crowd who had apparently stoned a policeman’s house. Mr Van Aswegen was then charged with public violence but was acquitted.
