Was shot dead when the vehicle in which he and nine other young men were travelling was ambushed at Diepdale, near Ermelo, Transvaal, on 30 September 1993. The youths were returning from a court appearance in connection with the killing of a local chief when they were attacked, allegedly by the chief’s son and other IFP supporters. Four of the ten were killed and three others injured.
