Was severely assaulted by named members of the SAP at his home in Wattville, Benoni, Transvaal, on 1 May 1986. He was then detained and severely tortured at Actonville police station. After his release he was dragged behind a police vehicle and left in an empty building. The police were allegedly retaliating for the killing of a policeman by the community.
