DECISION

The Amnesty Committee having considered the nature of the offence and the application of Thabiso Aaron Montoeli Application No 4060/97 is satisfied:-

1. that the application falls within the ambit of section 19(3)(b) of Act 34 of 1995

2. that the requirements set out in section 20 of the Act have been complied with.

Amnesty if therefore GRANTED in respect of the following offences:

1. contravention of section 27(1) of Act 26 of 1956

2. contravention of section 28(1) of Act 26 of 1956

3. contravention of section 5 (1) of Act 26 of 1956

inasfar as the said contravention's relates to the explosion at or near the Municipal Police Offices at Wesselsbron on the 26th march 1994 and the illegal possession of explosives in connection therewith.
