Was shot and injured by IFP supporters during an attack on her home in Tembisa, Kempton Park, Transvaal, on 3 March 1991. Ms Baas’s children were also shot during the incident. The Baas home was attacked because the area ’s Xhosa speaking residents were assumed to be ANC supporters.
