A UDF supporter who was on his way home from a peace meeting on 27 August 1989 in Imbali, Pietermaritzburg, when he and his companions were attacked by a named Inkatha supporter. Mr Biyase and another UDF supporter were shot dead, while a third UDF supporter was injured.
