An ANC supporter who was beaten with a rifle butt and severely injured by four MK soldiers who entered his family’s home in KwaMashu, Durban, on 6 October 1993 and abducted his brother. Mr Cira was attacked by an MK vigilante group calling themselves the ‘Cleaners’, who were allegedly targeting ANC members who chose to stay home rather than go into exile.
