A UDF supporter who was publicly assaulted and forced to abandon her home in Hambanathi, near Verulam, Natal, on 5 May 1985, in intense conflict between Inkatha and UDF over the incorporation of Hambanathi and other townships into KwaZulu. A leading member of the Inkatha Women’s Brigade was convicted for her part in the attacks.
