Description A UDF and United Women's Congress (UWCO) activist who was detained in Maitland, Cape Town, on 18 May 1988 and held for three and a half months under section 29, in solitary confinement. She was also interrogated, threatened and psychologically tortured by named members of the Security Branch. She spent a further nine months in custody in Pollsmoor prison on trial with thirteen other ANC members for terrorism. Charges against her were withdrawn in March 1990.
