Eleven people died in three days when Inkatha supporters, led by a prominent chief, attacked ANC-supporting homes in the Mahwaqa area.References

GAMENDE, Isaac MzikayifaniWas shot and wounded when ANC security guards at the ANC headquarters at Shell House, Johannesburg, opened fire on a crowd of IFP marchers on 28 March 1994. At least nine marchers were killed and around one hundred were injured. Ten ANC security guards were granted amnesty (AC/2000/142).References
