An ANC supporter who was forced to flee his home in Mpophomeni, KwaZulu, near Howick, Natal, in May 1989 to escape frequent harassment by Inkatha supporters. In his absence, his house was burnt down by named Inkatha members. His son died in the course of political conflict in the area.
