Was severely harassed, assaulted with a gun, arrested on a number of occasions, and had his house burnt down by SAP and Inkatha supporters at Ezimbokodweni, Umbumbulu, KwaZulu, near Durban, in January 1986. Mr Gijima was allegedly victimised because had refused to join Inkatha.
