Was beaten with knobkerries and later hacked and stabbed to death with pangas and spears by Inkatha supporters near Merafe station in Soweto, Johannesburg, in September 1989. She worked in a factory where there was conflict between the Inkatha-aligned UWUSA and COSATU-aligned NUMSA unions.
