Was one of eight passengers shot and injured when members of an ANC self-defence unit (SDU) attacked a bus at Umkomaas, near Durban, on 27 April 1992. Six other passengers were shot dead. Three ANC SDU members were granted amnesty (AC/2001/088). See Umkomaas bus attack.
