Description
Was harassed by IFP supporters and forced to leave her home in the Maqongqo area, Table Mountain, near Pietermaritzburg , during 1991 in political conflict between ANC and IFP supporters in the area. Her house was burnt down in her absence. Around the same time, Ms Gumede’s son was killed by IFP supporters, allegedly with the assistance of members of SAP.
