Description
A UDF supporter who was severely tortured on 20 July 1985 in Whittlesea, Ciskei. She was returning to Queenstown from the funeral of Cradock Four when the bus was stopped. Passengers were taken to the police station where they were questioned and assaulted by members of the Ciskei Defence Force (CDF). Ms Gxidi was five months’ pregnant. Her child has brain damage.
