Was injured in an attack by UDF and ANC supporters in the Mahwaqa area, near Port Shepstone, Natal, on 24 March 1990. Thirteen people died in the attack, which targeted IFP supporters. Two UDF supporters were granted amnesty (AC/2000/041).
