An ANC supporter who was severely injured in Tokoza, Transvaal, on 11 September 1991, after boarding a bus which was stopped outside Mshayazafe hostel by a hostel-dweller who threw a hand grenade into the bus. Gunmen then opened fire on the crowded bus. Ms Hlatshwayo attempted to flee the bus and was shot several times from behind. Four people were killed and about sixty injured in the incident.
