Was shot and injured by Inkatha supporters during political conflict at Nhlalakahle, Greytown, Natal, on 17 January 1988. It is alleged that the perpetrators had come to find her brother, who was thought to be a UDF supporter. Her two year old son was shot dead in the attack.
