Was shot and killed when APLA operatives, armed with automatic weapons and hand grenades, stormed the Yellowwoods Hotel, in Uitenhage, Cape, and opened fire on staff and patrons on 23 March 1993. Three perpetrators were granted amnesty (AC/2000/225). See APLA attacks.
