Was injured when a hand grenade exploded in a bus transporting workers in Heidelberg, Transvaal, on 28 September 1992, during a labour dispute between striking COSATU-aligned Food and Allied Workers' Union (FAWU) workers and non-striking IFP-aligned United Workers' Union of South Africa (UWUSA) workers. This caused violent conflict between July and December 1992. One person was killed and thirteen others were injured in the attack.
