Was shot in the back and stomach by IFP supporters in Sebokeng, Vereeniging, Transvaal, on 10 May 1992 during intense conflict between IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers and ANC-supporting residents. Ms Lesetja was four months pregnant and lost her baby as a result.
