MANAMELA, Tlou Isaac 29A union shop steward who was detained at his workplace by members of the Security Police and subjected to electric shock torture in Benoni and Heidelberg, Transvaal, in 1983. Mr Manamela was charged with furthering the aims of a banned organisation and sentenced to four years` imprisonment. He was released in 1987.References
