Was injured when a hand grenade thrown by foreign soldiers working under the auspices of the SADF exploded in a packed shebeen in Lulekani, Gazankulu, on 28 March 1986. Many died in the attack, including Mr Mabunda`s brother, and several people were injured. See Gazankulu hand grenade attack.
