Was shot and injured by unidentified persons at her house in Inanda, near KwaMashu, Durban, on 30 March 1990 in political conflict that followed the unbanning of political organisations. Her house was petrol-bombed in the attack. She was allegedly targeted because she had left Inkatha to join the ANC.
