Was shot dead by members of the SAP in Alexandra, Johannesburg, while on an errand for his mother on 18 June 1976. The Soweto uprising spread to Alexandra, Johannesburg, on 17 June 1976. Twenty people were killed and twenty five were wounded by the police.
