She had her property destroyed by supporters of Chief JM Mahlangu in Goederede, near Dennilton, KwaNdebele, in July 1975. Chief Mahlangu supported the incorporation of Goederede into the tribal authority of Lebowa, but many residents resisted, which led to attacks on people and property.
