Was shot dead by members of the KwaNdebele Police in Weltevrede, KwaNdebele, on 31 May 1987 when police allegedly attacked a group of young men at a tavern called Ndala`s lodge during conflict over KwaNdebele independence. When the victims retaliated, police fired into the tavern, killing three and injuring two.
