She sustained extensive damage to her house in Tshehlewaneng village, Transvaal, during 1986, when it was petrol-bombed by two youth activists acting on the orders of COSAS. The intended target had been the house of the local headmaster who was believed to be an informer, but the wrong house was attacked. No one was injured. A COSAS member was granted amnesty for the attack (AC/1999/0326).
